York Region fitness tests:

Please note that all UPGRADING REFEREES and Maintaining Referees  will be given priority.

 All District referees wishing to upgrade must pass a fitness test and meet the requirements of Regional Referee. You will be eligible for assessment games only after having passed your fitness test.

FITNESS TEST WILL BE HELD

  -  on      Saturday, May 8th, 2010

  -  at    Brother Andre Secondary School, Markham (Hwy & 16Ave.)                    

  -  From   9am- 11am

  The Fitness Test for male referees is:

Provincial

Regional

a) 12 minute run

2,700 metres

2,200 metres

b) 50 metre sprint

7.5 seconds

8.5 seconds

c) 200 metre sprint

32.0 seconds

37.0 seconds

d) 50 metre sprint

7.5 seconds

8.5 seconds

e) 200 metre sprint

32.0 seconds

37.0 seconds

The style of running is optional - walking is prohibited.

 Each participant should have an appropriate warm up period prior to

starting the test. It is recommended that there be a rest period of 15 minutes before the twelve minute run. Time allowed for completion of the test is two hours. 

  The Fitness Test for female referees is:

10.5 seconds

c) 200 metre sprint

40.0 seconds

46.0 seconds

d) 50 metre sprint
