Update from OSA on Increase in Registration fees and 2005 Class 2 Upgrading:

1) The increase in the referee registration fee is not based on last years(04/05) financial but this years (05/06) budget. At the present time we have a working budget with a deficit budget of $5300.00 which includes the new registration fees.

There are many reasons why we are spending that amount of money this year, and two quick reasons are, the extra cost that we are incurring for on-line registration and the second is the regional program is going to cost a lot more money this year.

2) For this year Class 3 referees that are living in region 3 (York, Toronto, North York and Huronia) will be allowed to take the C2 course (if they apply by March 30, 2005 for the course). However because the regional participants are going to attending the course in Vaughan and the structure of that course is going to be a little different then the other courses the participants that are not in the regional program will have to attend another location. I do not know the locations of the course at this time and I will have a better understanding of the course locations after the deadline March 30.
